It was good, but the book created intrigue without that. I don't know how the HBO series handled it.Mary Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07641557987981869081noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6477898230418867183.post-16182108001512686632012-04-01T10:27:40.490-04:002012-04-01T10:27:40.490-04:00This sounds really good. I was tempted to watch the HBO miniseries, but held back - probably subconsciously waiting to read the book first!Sarah Reads Too Muchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06130692983823811455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6477898230418867183.post-77853067901283061882012-03-01T11:54:34.518-05:002012-03-01T11:54:34.518-05:00Welcome to my blog, CEStone, and thank you for you...Welcome to my blog, CEStone, and thank you for your kind words. I like your blog and your review of Mildred Pierce. If I'm not mistaken she has some resemblance to Emma Hart in Woman of Substance (Barbara Taylor Bradford) But I do agree, she spoilt it all with her obssessive love for her older daughter. I can only imagine what chaos that will bring as the story unfolds. I do love drama (and history as well), so I'm sure to love this book.Reading Pleasurehttp://www.cestone40.blog.comnoreply@blogger.com
